Much like the star the series Tom Cruise, Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible - Fallout shows no signs of stopping. The sixth film in the franchise opened to a franchise record of $153 million worldwide with a domestic debut of $61.5 million (a domestic opening record for the series without factoring in inflation adjustments). Internationally the film has only opened in 40% of its markets but is already outpacing Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation by 19%. The feature opens in China, where Rogue Nation grossed over $135 million, on August 31. Written and directed once again by Christopher McQuarrie, the sequel also stars Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan, plus Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby.
