Dat The Walking Dead nog steeds op TV is, is voor mij nog altijd een raadsel, want het is gewoon weg slecht geworden. De serie is afgelopen weekeinde in de US weer begonnen na een korte pauze, en de kijkcijfers waren de laagste ooit. Hoewel seizoen 10 al bevestigd is, blijft het toch afwachten hoe dit gaan lopen. Maar ik zou er geen traan om laten als het stopt.

Though The Walking Dead is still the number one show on cable, according to The Wrap, the zombie series' audience hit an all-time low with Sunday's episode, "Omega." Per the report, the latest episode averaged a 1.7 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which was down 15 percent from the midseason premiere, and just below the 1.8 low the series hit last fall.

A zombie apocalypse sans Rick Grimes has not generated as much interest as the producers had hoped. Then again, the show was facing stiff competition from the NBC All-Star Game on TNT and TBS, which might account for the declining ratings.

The show has seen a steady decline in its ratings over the past few seasons and doesn't generate the same amount of hype it once did. That hasn't stopped AMC from green lighting a 10th season though so fans mustn't worry just yet.
