Starz announced today that Power Book II: Ghost has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which has gotten off to a solid start.

In its first week, the show garnered over 7 million multi-platform views, which ranks it as the cable network's most-watched new series of all time. The Starz app also got a boost during that time period, with subscriber acquisition climbing 42%.

The first spin-off series in the expanding Power universe, Power Book II: Ghost picks up shortly after the events in the final episode of Power.
